What You Can Do

At Open Doors we strengthen persecuted Christians every day. When asked how believers in America can help, they respond, “Stand with us!” The faithful who live on the frontlines strive to be courageous in the harshest of circumstances. There are many ways you can stand with these believers and ultimately discover courage in your own walk of faith.

Prayer
Intercessors know that hearts, communities and nations are transformed through prayer. We are continuously developing relevant materials and opportunities for you to participate in a deep spiritual experience with persecuted Christians through prayer campaigns, prayer groups and frequent updates from the frontline.

Seek Justice
Together we can turn the tide of injustice against Christians in countries hostile to our faith. Keep hope alive by getting involved in advocacy campaigns that seek to free prisoners, speak up for the innocent, or pressure anti-Christian regimes.

Connect Your Church
As church leaders you can strengthen your congregation’s walk of faith with meaningful materials filled with life-lessons from persecuted Christians. We’ve created tools specifically for your local church to have an eternal and global impact for the Body of Christ.

Travel and Encourage
Participate in what Open doors calls “presence ministry” by visiting believers in restricted countries. Seasoned missions travelers admit that Open Doors short-term trips are unlike any other and are more effective than others they’ve experienced. Find out why…

Volunteer
Our vital work is possible because of volunteers like you who know the joy of lending a helping hand. Whoever you are, you can do something at our office in California, in your church or small group, or with your family for a persecuted brother or sister. Give the precious gift of time.

Youth: Underground
Underground, the youth outreach of Open Doors, brings together thousands of young people around the world--from Europe, Africa, Australia and the Americas--to stand beside our persecuted brothers and sisters.
