FROM MY PERSPECTIVE

by Dr. Carl A. Moeller
President/CEO Open Doors USA

This month we are focusing on two areas where Christians desperately need your prayers: North Korea and India.

As you know, I feel passionately about the need for us to unite together to help North Korea’s suffering millions. I have personally traveled to the border of China and North Korea and have met with brothers and sisters from North Korea. These are brave men and women who need our continued prayers and support.

Our co-workers are still working with North Korean refugees and have prepared a safe house near the border. They have also carried out a relief operation for those who are suffering from the terrible food shortage… and this will be continuing.

While persecution in North Korea is obvious and well-known, the same cannot be said about India. Persecution by Hindu radicals continues to escalate and Christians are paying with their lives. In fact, believers in India have just endured the worst year of persecution ever.

As you will read in this newsletter, there is a continuing need for prayer for the church in India. And your support is also important, as it enables us to provide Standing Strong Through the Storm seminars to equip church leaders to cope with the onslaught of attacks.

Thank you for standing with our persecuted brothers and sisters through your gifts and prayers. Together we are bringing much encouragement, strength and hope to our brothers and sisters who suffer so greatly for their faith in Christ.

Serving Christ together,
Carl Moeller
