Stickers about Lord Jesus for Traumatized Children
“It was a great time and the kids enjoyed so much the book that they kept on playing with if for hours. Many of the staff workers asked for some more for their ministry, since it is a wonderful tool to help traumatized children”, said one of our workers in the region, who also took the picture.
The wars in Iraq and in Lebanon have not only affected the adults in those countries, but also the children. They have seen awful things happening around them and often they have lost family members and/or friends. Not only adults get traumatized, also children are not free from that, and it is not easy to counsel these children in the right way. Many of them have not been to school for many months, and they do not have their toys or games with them, so they get bored after a while. Imagine that you are living in a war zone area, in a small house, with a few rooms, but with children and adults, who do not know what to do. Those are difficult situations. Therefore it is a great idea to distribute books and materials among them, especially Christian literature with a message, so the children can entertain themselves and also learn something from Bible. For that reason MES has helped in the production and distribution of a Children’s Sticker book about the life of our Lord Jesus, and as you can see the children loved it. |
