A glimpse of God at work
Every so often, our co-workers share testimonies with us that allow us to catch a glimpse of how God is using the Bibles you provide to open blind eyes, soften hard hearts and win souls for Christ—even in the most restricted of Islamic nations. 

Brother Charlie’s story gives us such a glimpse. “I remember when my family got our first Bible,” Charlie recalls. “I was quite young, but I did try to read parts of it,” Charlie continues. “The Bible was in Arabic, which is not my mother tongue, so I didn’t really understand it very well.”

Years later, Charlie was given a Bible this time in his own language. “It was in Kurdish and it spoke to clearly to my heart,” Charlie recalls. “I loved it and read it daily. Soon I became convinced that Jesus is the Way.”

Today Charlie is committed to making sure others have the chance to read God’s Word for themselves. “God has told me to share the gospel with other people,” he says. “So now I visit others, taking them Scriptures and booklets.”

Following Christ
Like Charlie, Sister Mariam was converted after a friend had the courage to give her a Bible. “I met some people who had become Christians,” recounts Mariam. One of the believers befriended Mariam, and boldly gave her a copy of God’s Word, together with some other Christian literature. “I teased my friend and really mocked her for bringing me these books,” Mariam admits.
