Write to Susan

Susan

It has been eleven months since 14-year-old Susan's father abused her for embracing Christianity. She is still unable to walk as a result of many months of torture. Susan was hospitalized at Kagando Hospital in October 2010 after neighbors called for police to rescue her from her father. He was arrested shortly after, but was then quickly released.

Susan and her younger brother, Mbusa, lived alone with their father in the Kasese District, of Uganda, after he divorced their mother. In March 2010 an evangelist from Bwera Full Gospel Church came to Susan's school to share the Gospel with them. The message of salvation captured Susan's spirit. Susan made a choice to trust Christ for her own salvation and has remained strong in her faith, despite all of the persecution she has faced.

Open Doors has launched a writing campaign for Susan. Please read the letter writing guidelines to see how you can send Susan a letter of encouragement.
