O Little Town of Bethlehem

As I reflect on the birth of Christ in that dark and musty stable in Bethlehem, I must admit I don’t often think about how the birth of Christ brought pain and suffering to many families in Bethlehem who lost their sons to Herod’s jealousy and wrath (Matthew 2:15-18). We sing “O little town of Bethlehem how still we see thee lie,” but in reality the town was full of weeping and mourning.

Son Forbids Christian Couple to Host Church Inside Home

Please pray for Said Aka* (59), an elder in a church in a Tajikistan village. For ten years, he has let other Christians in the village gather at his house for Sunday services and a Bible study group. However, about a month ago, Alimjon*, his youngest son, came back from Russia, where he spent the last eight years.

Grace for Terrorists

Update: Our Prayers for Batima Have Been Answered!

We know you’ve been following the story of Batima* with us. As a Kyrgyzstani believer who was beaten by her siblings for her faith in Jesus, her faith that has remained strong has been a true testimony to the gospel! We recently updated you about her recovery; she was healing well and staying at a safe house. Open Doors workers were grateful for the chance to be with her and pray for her needs. Unfortunately, her important personal documents were stolen by her siblings at the time of her attack, and we asked you to pray for these to be returned.
