I can’t believe it- December will be here tomorrow! The Christmas season will be in full force, as the 12 days of Christmas begins.
The Christmas carol ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ talks about the 12 gifts that ‘my true love gave to me.’ Last year, we decided to focus these 12 days on providing Gifts of Hope for persecuted Christians. Due to popular demand, the ’12 Days of Christmas’ are back again this year.
Instead of ‘two turtle doves’ or ‘eight maids a milking,’ you can bless a persecuted Christian with a life changing gift. Each day, we will highlight a different Gift of Hope that you can provide a Christian with.
Perhaps it is giving the gift of teaching a persecuted Believer how to read and write, so that they will be more employable….and more importantly, so that they can read their own Bible. Perhaps it will be providing a Christian evangelist with training, so that they can reach out to more and more people and share the good news!
These gifts will not only bless the Christians who receive them, but will also bless those who provide theses life changing gifts. We all have that person in our lives who it is impossible to shop for because they say that they do not want anything for Christmas (and the really mean it). Well, you can even give a Gift of Hope in honor of an individual! Or perhaps your family or a few of your friends would like to join together to provide a larger Gift of Hope, that will reach out to more persecuted Believers.
Thank you for standing One With Them during this Christmas season!
