Actually Remembering Christians Who Are Mistreated In Iraq

June 5, 2013 by Open Doors in

Ever wonder what life in Iraq is really like for Christians? Check out this new video- from a recent Open Doors trip to the area.

These gripping stories really remind me of how important it is to pray for these brothers and sisters. Can you imagine how discouraging it would be to constantly face these adversities? When we pray, we bring them God’s peace and encouragement. When we advocate we are their voice when they are voiceless. We share their stories with others, so that they know they are not forgotten.

The Bible says in Hebrews 13:3 Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. What would it look like if we actually prayed for those who are mistreated as if we were mistreated? What would our prayer lives look like? What kind of change would we see?

So take a few minutes to view this video. Pray for these dear believers. And then send this to others who you think should see this.

Persecution is real and it is not going away. But those of us who are free must share their stories. We must pray. We must advocate on their behalf. We are One With Them.
