Brother Andrew On Being One With Them

June 5, 2013 by Open Doors in Stories of Persecution

Brother Andrew, founder of Open Doors, recalls a time when he could hear a prisoner suffering for his faith in Christ. He notes that wearing the One With Them wristband is a welcomed reminder to pray for Christians like this man.

Brother Andrew has been actively ministering to the persecuted Church for over 55 years. He knows the importance of standing united with our persecuted brothers and sisters. He knows how important it is to stand One With Them in prayer.

One With Them is a campaign by Open Doors that encourages Christians in the West to stand one with our brothers and sisters who share our faith, but not our freedom.

Over 70% of the world’s population live in areas of severe religious persecution. 1 Corinthians 12:26 says “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it”. This is why it is so important to stand united with our persecuted brothers and sisters. Though we may not directly experience persecution, we as the body of Christ are called to be One With Them.
