Egyptian Christians

June 5, 2013 by Open Doors in Stories of Persecution

I was reading a very good article in The Economist today- The article examined post-revolution Egypt.

It is amazing to see how far the country has come, while still noting the ways in which Egyptian Christians could face persecution. As the Arab Spring continues, we cannot forget about Christians in the region. Even though the oppressive governments that once persecuted them have fallen, it does not mean that persecution is over for them. Many live in Muslim dominated societies and continue to face persecution.
When I think about Christians who live in countries where they are persecuted, I automatically assume it is the government doing the persecuting, but that is not always the case. This is why it is so important for us to pray for these Christians.

Will you take a moment to pray for the Christians of the Arab Spring? Pray for their safety, protection and that they would be encouraged.
