Open Doors in Lebanon: Empowering Local Believers

October 7, 2014 by Open Doors in , ,

Kristin Wright, Open Doors Advocacy Director, was recently in Lebanon, visiting believers that have become refugees due to the extreme persecution of the Islamic extremist group ISIS.

In this video, she shares about her experience with Open Doors projects on the ground in Lebanon. Due to the growing number of refugees that are fleeing from Syria & Iraq, Lebanon is the place they are often fleeing to.

Kristin not only saw aid being provided, but also holistic support being given to these persecuted believers. Open Doors is passionate about empowering the local church, and works to give these believers the tools to live and thrive in their faith.

Trauma counseling is offered to these believers who have been through intense persecution. Child-friendly spaces are created to allow kids to just be kids, despite the chaos that surrounds them.

We are so grateful for your support of Open Doors’ work in the Middle East!
