Presidential Pledge for Religious Freedom

June 5, 2013 by Open Doors in

Today Open Doors USA President Carl Moeller and Advocacy Director Lindsay Vessey hosted a webinar on the Presidential pledge. We will be posting a recorded version of the webinar tomorrow, so you can view it in case you missed it.

The Presidential pledge is a document that encourages all Presidential candidates to promote religious freedom both internationally and domestically. Open Doors does not endorse any one candidate, but rather encourages all Presidential hopefuls to sign this pledge, stating that if they become President, they will make religious freedom a priority. So far, Rick Santorum is the only candidate to have signed this, though Open Doors has sent the pledge to all candidates from all political parties.

If your candidate has not signed the Presidential Pledge, we encourage you to ask them to make this a priority. Let them know either by signing the petition or by calling their campaign headquarters. Tell them that religious freedom is a priority to you and that you want it to be a priority to them as well.

We thank you for being a part of this important campaign. Please sign the petition if you have not already. If you have signed it, we thank you and encourage you to ask others to sign it. Blessings to you!
