Provide Assistance to a Believer Facing Trial for Their Faith

June 5, 2013 by Open Doors in

It is really an amazing experience to have a friend walk with you during a difficult season of life. A friend who will be there to be a listening ear, a voice of reason and a partner in prayer. I have had different friends play this vital role in different seasons of my life. I am so thankful for each of them, as they helped me get through the difficulties I was facing.

Though I have had some difficult trials in my life, it pales in comparison to what persecuted Christians deal with on a day to day basis. It would so easy for them to give up hope, become discouraged or want to leave the faith- yet they remain strong.

This is why it is so important for us to walk with persecuted Christians- to unify the Body of Christ while being there for them. A practical way in which we can do this is by giving the gift of providing assistance to a believer facing trial for their faith, whether this is in the form of encouragement, legal aid or biblical training. These all help our persecuted brothers and sisters who are going through so much.

Thank you so much for your faithfulness in being there for our persecuted brothers and sisters.
