Ramadan Day 11- Joy

Ramadan Day 11 Ethiopia – The doctor felt helpless with the tiny premature baby whose mother had died in childbirth. There were minimal resources, not even a hot water bottle, to keep the baby warm, and without which the baby would die. They made do for the night, but the next day during prayer at the orphanage, ten year old Ruth began to pray, “Please God, send us a hot water bottle today. It’ll be no good tomorrow; the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon’.And while you are at it,” continued Ruth, “would You please send a doll for the little girl so she’ll know You really love her?” Would God answer such an outrageous prayer? The doctor wondered. Later, a parcel arrived. The doctor opened the package as 40 little girls watched intently. Beneath the clothes and sweets, the doctor’s hand closed around a new rubber hot water bottle! Ruth dashed forth to look further. “If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the doll, too!” Rummaging around, she pulled out a beautiful little doll. STAND “ONE WITH THEM” Children are the most vulnerable members of the persecuted church. Not only are they in constant danger of being abducted or abused, their faith is tender and needs proper grounding in God’s Word. Visit the Open Doors website, and learn how you can help a child today. PRAY “ONE WITH THEM” Lord Jesus, You have told us to “cast all of our burdens on you.” Help Christians living in Muslim-dominated countries to surrender their worries and concerns, and replace them with child-like trust and joy that only comes from a relationship with You. Amen.
