See How Your Gifts Are Being Used

December 9, 2014 by Open Doors in Persecution updates

Thanks to your faithfulness, we have been able to meet the greatest needs of persecuted Christians around the world. Here are some of the ways your donations were used last month.

Bibles and Gospel Development

In an undisclosed country in the Middle East, some believers just received their first Bibles.

“We encountered believers from a rural background who didn’t have their own copy of God’s word,” shared an Open Doors co-worker. “They were so grateful to finally have their own Bible.”

Thank you for providing these believers with a priceless gift- the Word of God!

Women and Children Advancement

Several Christian Women in the Central African Republic have been forced from their homes through violent attacks and are left as refugees. Some of these women have even faced sexual assault from their attackers.

Thanks to your donations, Open Doors has been able to provide trauma counseling to these women who have endured so much.

Thank you for standing with them in this way.

Christian Community Restoration

In an undisclosed Southeast Asian country, persecution of Christians is quite systematic.

“Christians in my country have been oppressed for generations,” shares one Christian. “We do not have access to good jobs or education, because of our faith.”

Open Doors is providing job skills training and literacy courses to these believers, so they have a chance at a better life and are able to provide for their families.

Your gifts are truly making a difference and are changing lives. Thank you for your continued ongoing support!
