I wish I had a picture of my Grandpa’s Bible. It was a bit worn and the spine of it was held together with grey duct tape. When he died my father received the Bible and was going through it before the funeral. Seeing what his father had underlined and marked allowed him to see another side of his father than he had seen before. It was wonderful to hear the verses that had been important to my grandfather. The one passage that stands out was Romans 7. I am thankful that I was raised in a family that valued God’s Word and thankful that we have a God who knew each of us before He ever said, “Let there be Light.” II Timothy 1:9
