This is one of my favorite verses because it tells us what we should be doing.
Isaiah 1:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 Learn to do well(good); seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless(orphan), plead for the widow.
This is what we are suppose to do in loving our neighbor as ourselves.
I also like the Ten Commandments. They were written by the finger of God and tell us simply how he wants us to live. His commandments aren’t grievous and are easier than anything that man comes up with. It makes my heart sing to do his will, that which is right.
I love where David takes on Goliath.
1 Sam17:26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
1Sam17:36,37 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. 37 David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee
I also like Genesis 1 because it talks about God creating all of creation and his care in creating it and us.
