Update: Our Prayers for Batima Have Been Answered!

November 5, 2015 by Janelle P in Asia

We know you’ve been following the story of Batima* with us. As a Kyrgyzstani believer who was beaten by her siblings for her faith in Jesus, her faith that has remained strong has been a true testimony to the gospel!

We recently updated you about her recovery; she was healing well and staying at a safe house. Open Doors workers were grateful for the chance to be with her and pray for her needs. Unfortunately, her important personal documents were stolen by her siblings at the time of her attack, and we asked you to pray for these to be returned.

A few weeks ago, Open Doors workers were able to visit her again in her hometown, since she has now left the safe house. She is staying with some sisters in Christ.

Miraculously, after we asked for your prayer in regards to her personal documents, her sister had given back her documents just a few days before we visited. Praise God!

She also recently had an interview at the South Korean Embassy in hopes of receiving a Korean visa. Please continue to join us to pray for Batima and for her to be able to obtain a visa to South Korea. If obtained, she would be able to receive biblical training there.
