In a disheartening change of events, three witnesses in the Rimsha Masih Blasphemy case have recanted their statements.

Rimsha Masih is a 14 year old Christian from Pakistan. Approximately one month ago, she was accused of Blasphemy for allegedly burning pages of the Quran – a crime which is punishable by death in Pakistan.

Initially, the three witnesses claimed to see a Muslim cleric tear pages from the Quran and put them with police evidence, so that Rimsha Masih would be charged with the crime of Blasphemy. As of today, they have recanted their statements.

This case has received global recognition, as many believe the accusations against her are false. Christians are concerned that these witnesses have been pressured to change their statements due to pressure from extremists.

Open Doors USA has launched an advocacy campaign on behalf of Rimsha Masih. If you have not done so yet, please take a moment to join this campaign. If you already have, please ask friends and family to be part of this campaign.

Would you take a moment to write a prayer for Rimsha Masih in the comment section below? Thank you so much for your commitment to advocate and pray for this young woman.

“If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together” 1st Corinthians 12:26

Thank you for standing One With Them!
