How Open Doors helps Christians in India

Open Doors is working with local churches and partners throughout India. Unfortunately, due to increased security concerns, we cannot be completely transparent about our work in India. However, we can say that, working through partners on the ground, Open Doors projects includes:

  • Bible and Christian literature distribution: Providing Bibles, Children’s’ Bibles, mini-library books, training manuals and Sunday school materials to persecuted Christians
  • Training: Holistic training of persecution preparedness courses for pastors, church workers women, youth, children and family groups
  • Socio-economic development: Livelihood and community development, adult literacy programs, bridge schooling for children, vocational education, and urgent aid and relief for persecuted Christians
  • Advocacy: Field advocacy (legal help), legal seminars, and providing teams for rapid action in the field to help the victims of persecution
  • Other special projects: Occasionally we receive specific requests from church leaders that require the utmost security in order to keep local believers safe
