What to Expect from the World Watch List Tomorrow

June 5, 2013 by Open Doors in Stories of Persecution

Tomorrow, Open Doors will launch the World Watch List for 2012. The list ranks the top 50 countries in which it is most difficult to be a Christian. For the last 9 years, North Korea has topped the chart, as the most difficult place to be a Christian.

The list is meant to be used as a tool- a way in which we free Christians can help persecuted Christians. In the next few weeks, be on the lookout for the following:

1. Ways to pray- Each country on the list will have different prayer requests available. We encourage you to join us in focusing on each of the top ten countries over the next several weeks.

2. Statistics- Are you curious as to how many people live in North Korea or how many Christians are in Yemen? In the next few weeks, we will be providing statistics on each of the top 50 countries.

3. Advocacy- We will be sharing different ways in which you can get involved by being a voice for the voiceless.

4. Stories- There will many stories from the persecuted that we will share. We hope that these stories will encourage you in your faith and will provide ways for you to pray specifically for Christians in these countries.

Be sure to follow us on facebook and twitter for all of these resources. Thank you for being a part of World Watch List 2012. We are looking forward to what God is going to do as we continue to be One With Them in this new year!
