My Bible was given to
My Bible was given to me as a house warming gift when I bought my new home 45 years ago. It was given to me by my sister-in-law, a Catholic Nun. I have read it almost 30 times now, and each time it provides insight for handling what I face in my daily life. When I traveled throughout the country, I always took it with me to give me the guidance that I needed. The most important lesson that became obvious, is that God is love, and that we are here to truly love one another without hesitation or qualifications.… Jesus explained that to us; and in my daily scripture readings, I see clearly what he meant. My dad was a pastor,
My dad was a pastor, so I was introduced to the Bible at a very young age. I learned to read when I was 4, so I have been reading the Word for 70 years. I have had a very blessed life because of the Lord and His Word. I had 42 years with the love of my life before he went to be with the Lord. He was in the Army for 25 years, first as an Army Intelligence Officier, then as a chaplain. We lived in 13 states and 2 foreign countries. As a linguist, I learned 3… foreign languages and became a French professor. We raised 4 children, and I now have 13 grandchildren. Through all the moves and all of life’s challenges (and there have been many, especially the death of my husband), the Lord has comforted me through His Word. And I have been teaching the Word to Army wives for the last 35 years. Read more “My dad was a pastor,”
What come to mind tonight
What come to mind tonight as most precious – He knows my name! Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
It is my daily bread,
It is my daily bread, my guidebook, my help from on high, my motivation to trust & obey, my main instrument for doing my work. Psalm 2:8 is our family’s guiding verse. The Scriptures have saved my life and help me persevere in love in the face of regular suffering.
There has been many times
There has been many times in my life when I feel like I’ve disappointed my God. I would feel like nothing I do is honorable or great, and although I love God dearly, I didn’t think I deserve to get any love back. This saddened me. But then God knew how I was feeling, and that following Sunday, I went to Mass, and was told by my Priest to go home and read Psalm 91. I was shocked when I read it. It was God’s direct response to what I was feeling. I felt His tremendous Love as I read,… and afterwards, it snapped me right out of my despondent mood. This was one of the most emotional moments of my life and I thank God for it. Amen. Read more “There has been many times”

Context is always vital in
Context is always vital in the scriptures but I am constantly reminded that God hates evil, oppression, and injustice. This verse in Jeremiah speaks to me. We can boast in our intelligence, material wealth, and other things but God is Himself the fountain of living water. Just think how vital normal water is. Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows… me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord. Read more “Context is always vital in”
The Word of God is

The Word of God is my lifeline!!! There are really no words that I can say other than that it is my lifeline.
My Bible is the second
My Bible is the second most important thing in my life to me, second only to God himself! I love being able to look in the concordance when I have a question and then look in the Bible at the verse, studying the text that it was used in. I’ve been encouraged, strengthened, and instructed every day by the Holy Spirit using it in my life.
My wife Joan’s favorite Bible
My wife Joan’s favorite Bible verse is: “…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these (Mark 12:30-31, NKJV). This was Jesus speaking. My favorite is: “…God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8, NKJV). A close second is: “For by grace you have been saved… through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV). #thisismybible . . a constant

#thisismybible . . a constant companion through many years of life and ministry. I read it carefully and constantly, making sure to keep it in a cover when not in use and knowing where it is at all times. . My Bible tells me about God, the heavenly father who loves and believes in me to a degree far beyond understanding. God loved me (and the world) so much that he sent his only son Jesus. Thanks to what Jesus Christ accomplished, I can now stand before God’s throne of grace without sin, guilt or condemnation; knowing (as stated in… Philippians 2:13) that he works in me both to will and to do of his good pleasure. I bought a study bible
I bought a study bible years ago and had the privilege of taking the new bible to a conference with Dr. David Jeremiah. I asked him to sign my bible and he signed it on the inside of the cover page writing this scripture verse: Philippians 1:6..
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” As I open His Word this verse reminds me that I am a work in progress and that through His Word I will continue to seek and… learn the truth. My husband went Home to
My husband went Home to Jesus 6 months ago. It has been harder than anything I could imagine, but He is carrying me through and revealing Himself to me in new ways. I have been involved in missions and ministry since coming to the Lord 22 years ago, but now it is changing. I am LIVING for Christ. My favorite verse is John 7:37,38 “If anyone is thirsty let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, “From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” Let the Waters flow! Praise God,… and when your struggle is so strong that you cannot speak, PRAISE GOD! Read more “My husband went Home to”
Over thirty years of my
Over thirty years of my 56, the Word of God has proven to be a living light to the truth about so many challenges I’ve faced, so many moments of joyful thanksgiving and many world leadership issues that affirm God is in control. An absolute peaceful joy that no matter what the weeds in this world do to disrupt our liberty and freedom in Christ, I know we are loved unconditionally and that His plans for those who look to Him for Hope, through His will, will never fail His plans for our good.
Phillippians 4 v 13 –

Phillippians 4 v 13 – ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me ” .
When my husband & son were going through boughts of depression & bipolar I prayed everyday for Gods strength to be able to be there for them & not crumble. The Phillippians verse gave me hope that Jesus was there for me in times of need.
My story isn’t so much
My story isn’t so much about my Bible; it’s about how God saved me from myself, healed me, and gave me peace and happiness. After that God led me to His word., the most profound, inspirational book of love and devotion ever written. Even just writing this, admitting this, brings tears to my eyes. I am so so thankful, blessed, and undeserving. Thank you Jesus. Thank you so much!
And behold, a certain lawyer

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ” And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my… neighbor?” Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:25-37) Read more “And behold, a certain lawyer”

I am 88 years old.
I am 88 years old. When I was in the third grade I was studying my Sunday School lesson. was about Samson and Delilah. I found the story very interesting and understood it to some extent. That was when I realized how very interesting the Bible is. From that point, I became a reader and am now reading it again for the 4th time. I wish I could say 24th times. I have a great love for reading and I credit it to the story of Sampson and Delilah. She was not a very nice lady, was she? I have… many, many religious books including some about Deitrich Bonhoeffer . What a wonderful learning experience over the many years. The wonderful thing about the Bible is every time I read it I find something new. I recently read Revelation with mostly understanding Read more “I am 88 years old.”

I want to tell you
I want to tell you about a Bible that belonged to my twin brother, John. John passed away on June 4, 2018. I have his pocket Bible that I gave to him back in 2002. John loved Jesus, and he loved the Word of God. This Bible is precious because almost every page has verses that are highlighted, underlined, or circled. I enjoy reading the verses that meant so much to him! John is with Jesus, and I will see him again one day. — Jolaine
“Praise be to the God
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV
As an adult, I questioned why God would allow me to live through so much abuse. I came to Christ as a small child, but still lived through abuse from my father, bullying from my classmates, and abuse again as a married woman. God pointed out to me… that He has used that experience to make me more compassionate towards others. He has since healed my marriage and made it better & less abusive! God is good. He upholds me so that I might show His love & compassion towards others. Read more ““Praise be to the God”

Psalm 119:162 says “I rejoice

Psalm 119:162 says “I rejoice at Your Word like one who great spoil”. This has become increasingly true in my life as I fall more and more in love with Jesus and the revelation of Him throughout the story of scripture. I have come to see how everything in this life fades, but the Word of the Lord remains forever. It is the foundation of my identity, and it has transformed every single part of my life.

Bible is great comfort in times of persecution. ” Do not dear any of those things which you are about to suffer. The memory verse I love
The memory verse I love so much among others is Philippians 3: “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, being made conformable unto his death” It has so much meant a lot to me, and it continue to, the more I understand Him, the more I long to know Him more. The more I understand, the reason why Paul could suffer the loss of all things, because Christ excels beyond any earthly riches, power, position, anything that can be desire. He filleth all in all. He satisfies beyond comprehension. 2 Cor. 8: 9 “For ye know… the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he is rich, he became poor, that ye through his poverty might become rich”. He to whom belongs all things, became poor that I might become rich, the wealth that no moth or rust can destroy, and then, that that last forever. His promises are everlasting for those who are His. My Bible means a lot to me, within the 39 years that I have given my life to Jesus, I have had many I use with reference made in it, but I am in the office and my system has no camera, I would have uploaded the one I use in the office aside that of online. My favorite passage is Psalm

My favorite passage is Psalm 121. I like this passage because it assures me that the Lord takes care of me even while I am asleep. As the mountains surrounding Zion, the Lord surrounds me and I am safe in Him. The Bible is like a fire to me that burns my sins. A mirror that reflects myself. A lamp that illuminates my path. Food that feeds my soul.

The “Book of Books” is
The “Book of Books” is the Living Word that sustains me. I still have the lovely children’s Bible that I received as a kid and I’m amazed at how far I have come since then. I thank the Lord for granting me the incredible privilege of being called His child and for being able to freely read and study the Scriptures in my own language. Such an honor and a responsibility at the same time! My favorite verse is from Joshua 1:8-9.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it… day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Given the struggles and challenges of life, this is my go-to verse. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him, nothing is impossible! There’s power in the Word. Meditate upon it, memorize it and speak it out loud over the situations in your life. Pray it over your unsaved loved ones and rest assured that His Word won’t come back empty, but it will accomplish the Lord’s purposes.
Thank You, Jesus, for making yourself known to me at such an early age and later on, fully turning me to You as I understood and received the word of salvation! You deserve all the glory and honor! Read more “The “Book of Books” is”
I was born in Presbyterian

I was born in Presbyterian Church of India and I was baptized since infancy. Being a believer I found the Holy bible was the greatest book in this world we were living. No any other book could be compared with It. The word of God can crush the heart stone of a person, transform the whole life of a person. Through the words of God I understand I am a sinner, I need the remission of sin. The anyone who did against the words of God would be cast out in the eternal lake of fire. The verses of John… 3: 16-18 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. His Word is a lamp
His Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. He guides me each day and gives direction. Since receiving Him, I no longer live by the seat of my pants…but rather, I “pant” as the deer pants for water, for His Word and the Holy Spirit to direct my life. One of my favorite verses is 1 Peter 5:7 – “Cast all your cares upon Him…for He cares for you.”
The Word of God is

The Word of God is enough to prepare a person for the good work. The Bible is the only source of authority for the Christian. In the Bible are the promises of life for those who suffer persecution, hunger and injustice. The Bible encourages and sustains the persecuted people.

I talked to one man
I talked to one man at the door I was knocking on and he said I don’t want a Bible study. The Bible has been changed by men down through the years. I didn’t really know what he was talking about so I told him I would study that. I did and found a Geneva Bible that had been resurrected from the early years before the King James edition had been written. The Pilgrims that came over in 1620 carried a Geneva Bible. I figured if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for me. I use… that exclusively now and love it! Read more “I talked to one man”
My Bible is my best

My Bible is my best Friend. It has been with me through 37 years of life’s storms, challenges, blessings, and even several hurricanes. It is worn, but it is loved. The first passage God “gave” or stood out to me was Isaiah 41:10:

God speaks to me with
God speaks to me with and through His Word, the Bible. How amazing and cool is that!? The Creator of the Universe speaks to me, talks to me (and listens to me as well) every morning, every day, through His Psalms, His Gospel, His inspired Word. I am so looking forward to seeing Him and meeting Him face to face one day and worshiping Him forever. He has saved me and given me eternal life through faith in Jesus which came because people preached His Word, and because I heard His Word, read His Word, and believe His Word.

I eat food and drink water every day; otherwise, my body may die. I read the Bible, AND walk in the way it shows me every day; otherwise, my whole being will perish. It warms my heart to hear others speak of God and how meaningful His Word is to them! Years ago, Malachi 3:16 was a verse my 7 year old daughter and I hunted down as we couldn’t remember where it was or even the exact words. The exact words were for us one night as we spent time talking about the Lord: Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another, and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord and thought upon his name.… And they shall be MINE, saith the Lord…

The story of Gideon fighting the Midianites in Judges 7 is the Scripture I’ve been pondering most lately. Overcoming overwhelming odds through obedience and connection with God is inspiring.
I WILL NOT FORGET YOUWhen
I WILL NOT FORGET YOU
When you have a child that is mentally and physically challenged, you can rest assured that emotionally you will have some really bad days. I am sure that many parents who have a child with a disability will verify that. Having a sense of hope while maintaining a sense of reality can be a very hard balancing act, for sure.
As a Christian, my hope for Jeffrey’s progress and growth was in the Lord. I believed He had made me some very precious promises for this child and had literally seen the working… of His hands on my child’s life. I was not ignorant of miracles.
I had my bad days but I would have to say that most of the time I was expecting God to move and was confident that what He promised me He would deliver. That is except for this one day where Satan really shot me down!
Jeff was about 13 at the time and still struggling in the mornings to get on his feet. His balance was really off this particular morning . It always took time for his eyes to level out. They would be so high that he would have to place his chin on his chest to look ahead. If that wasn’t bad enough, he was, for some reason, as pale as a sheet. So here he comes out of his room bouncing off the sides of the walls looking like the worst I had seen him in a long time.
All the faith I had for this child’s healing literally crashed to my feet. As I looked at him wobbling his way toward me I thought, “You are really kidding yourself, MaryAnn. He is never going to grow out of this, be healed, whatever. It is just never ever going to happen.” My heart, my spirit just sunk.
Jeff, by this time, had found his way up to me. He stopped, looked me square in the face and said, “I WILL NOT FORGET YOU.” I was stunned. You have to understand. Jeff’s speech was very immature for his age and he had a problem slurring his words. But this statement, which, by the way, was straight out of the Book of Isaiah!, was clear, strong and said with such an authority! I looked at him and asked, “What did you say, Jeff?” He repeated, “I said, I WILL NOT FORGET YOU!” I said, “Jeffrey, why did you say that to me?” He just shrugged his shoulders, turned to go down the stairs and said, “I don’t know, I just felt like I was supposed to say that to you.” And off he went!
I stood there completely baffled. The words he spoke caused my spirit to completely rebound. I knew that it was the Lord speaking directly to me through my son. And I remained standing there with such a sense of awe.
I thought… what an incredibly kind God I have, to not allow me to fall into the muck and mire of faithlessness and depression. It was just unbelievable.
Needless to say, I continued on with the rest of my day filled with an extra dose of faith and hope and gradually coming to understand that it was all right if I crashed and fell from time to time because underneath me were those everlasting arms…..and, no doubt about it… He would be there to catch me, dust me off and get me going again!! The Bible for me is

The Bible for me is the book that showed me the way. The Bible is the truth, it is my source of wisdom and it will lead me to everlasting life. When I read the Bible, it brings me face to face with God, and it draws me closer to Him. It is like a sword for me.
I was 9 years old

I was 9 years old when I got my first Bible from my Grandma, it was my Grandpa’s Bible from 1901, I still have it. When I got saved at age 18 I used it most of my Christian walk that was 40 years ago. I have to use a different one now so to preserve the brittle yellowing pages. But my current Bible is well worn, now! My favorite verses is very hard to choose as the whole Counsel of God is my favorite. But having to choose it would be Psalms 119: 97-104. It saves me and keeps… me from the wicked, the Devil and False brethren. It’s my protection from all evil and I have hidden it in my heart years ago that I might not sin against Him! To God be all Glory!! Read more “I was 9 years old”
When I was a very
When I was a very young Christian, new in the faith, I was struggling with a breathing issue that made it impossible for me to rest. One night, a friend of mine opened her Bible and read 1 Peter 5:6-11. She told me the Lord meant for her to read to me. That night was the worst for my breathing. The next morning was the first time I was angry with the Lord. On my way to a very long commute to work, I reluctantly turned on Christian radio and the preacher read, of all passages, 1 Peter 5:6-11. It’s… been my life verse now for over 30 years!! I am so thankful that
I am so thankful that the Creator of all things, magnificent & holy, righteous & merciful, chooses to speak to me through His word. I am so grateful the Holy Spirit instructs me & reveals the character of our Lord & Savior Jesus, so I may grow in knowledge & His grace. My life verse is Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good & what the Lord requires of you, to do justly, to love mercy, & to walk humbly with your God
Joshua 24:15 Nearly 35 years
Joshua 24:15 Nearly 35 years ago now I was reading my Bible when I came across this verse. I thought to myself what a lovely scripture. I began wondering if the local Christian bookstore might have a piece of stain glass w/this verse, and decided I would make plans to go there. Several days had passed and I still hadn’t visited. During those several days, I had many errands, one of which was visiting my Brother in Christ and his family who were moving out of state. When I arrived at his home, moving boxes were everywhere. His wife and… baby son were down the hall packing in one of the bedrooms. I was chatting w/my friend in the living-room as he was sorting things in boxes. Suddenly he stopped, looking a little quizzical, w/his hands in one of the boxes. He looked up at me and slightly shook his head saying, “Stephen I think the Lord wants you to have this.” He then pulled out of the box a wooden plaque that a missionary friend had given to him sometime ago. On the plaque were the very words of Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” When he did this I instantly thought of Psalms 139 and read it w/tears of joy running down my face. God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Don’t know how much of this your able to print but God certainly knows what we’re thinking and sometimes answers w/out asking Him. I’m sure glad He did that day! :))) Read more “Joshua 24:15 Nearly 35 years”

When I think about the Bible I have, I am very thankful to the triune God and all of His people through the ages who have given their lives in dedication to preserve and send His Word over all the world. Praise Him it cannot be stopped! I think of all the people who still need a Bible of their own, and all of the people who have one but could have it taken from them at any time and suffer persecution for it as well. I thank the Lord for the testimony of these who are not afraid of… those that may harm or kill the body, His word is in their hearts, and they have put their hope in a God who knows them by name. My favourite Bible Verse comes from Romans 5:8 -But God shows His love for us,because while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. This Verse tells me how much God loves me for with all my faults and weaknesses He loves me so much He sent Jesus to die for me so I might live.

Thy word is lamp unto my feet and a lamp unto my path Psalm119;105 I learned this scripture when I was a child attending vacation bible school. That was over 50 years ago and I still cherish the word of God. I’ve gone through many bibles and have several that are highlighted and I use for references when studying. The bible I am currently using is a gift from a friend probably 20 years ago.
I try very diligently to read and study God’s word daily it has been an inspiration, has comforted me when I’ve needed comfort it… has been wisdom, practicality in an impractical world. Read more “Thy word is lamp unto”

Our check came a week early with 2 weeks worth on it !!! Yaay God is awesome ! Jesus is amazing!!
As a Christian who lives
As a Christian who lives because of God’s mercy and grace, I like 2 passages, one OT and one NT that guide and counsel me. Psalm 119:11 says “Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” (NASB). And as much as I don’t want to sin, it occurs. So my other passage is 1 John 2:1-2 “…But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. (2) He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our (my)… sins.” (NLT) That is my confidence to keep on living for Him Read more “As a Christian who lives”
The Bible has been precious

The Bible has been precious to me for over 65 years, since I was 6 yrs old. It never grows old, it is always fresh. I learn from the Word of God every day as I read and study it. I have many favorite passages, but one that keeps coming back to me is the great exchange verse found in 2 Corinthians 5:21; “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” God the Father sacrificed His only begotten Righteous Son (God the Son) to… become a sin-bearer, so that I and every believer, could inherit the Righteousness of God — what an amazing gift of grace. We will praise Him for all eternity. Read more “The Bible has been precious”
The Bible is everything to

The Bible is everything to me, it’s a lamp that illuminates my path. [It is] the most reliable prophecy where I have found light, [no] matter the situation. When I arrived at the gospel, because of the [impoverished] condition in which I lived, I couldn’t buy a Bible; in fact, there were almost no Bible in the region. I prayed and begged God for a Bible, I even cried to God for a Bible. At that time, I helped [my church] by cleaning and organizing after the service; I often searched among the chairs for someone who had forgotten a… Bible, if that happened, I was very happy. And there was a night I found and read the Bible until sunrise. The first Bible I had was the Bible of a man who, fleeing from the region, forgot his Bible in the church. I took that Bible as my own and it was the one that accompanied me in my first years as a pastor. I named that Bible; it was the Forgotten Bible. Read more “The Bible is everything to”

The verses I want to share is:
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. My bible means more to

My bible means more to me than words can say. Each moment God speaks to me or amplifies a verse while I am reading, I put the date next to it and years later when reading the same one, I see the date and reflect on that time.. or what I was going through. Gods word is timeless. Gods word is alive and it’s like time travel.
My parents gave me this

My parents gave me this Bible for my 16th birthday. Although I tend to use electronic versions more now, I still much prefer this one. There is something special about the touch, the smell and seeing notes and highlighting throughout. It is starting to fall apart from travel and use but it is dear to my heart. One of my favorite passages—Psalm 27—is shown here and has brought me much comfort over the years.

I love reading the Bible

I love reading my Bible because God always show me a passage, a message that I need to hear at that moment with whatever I may be dealing with in my life.
I love reading my Bible
I love reading my Bible and memorizing Scripture because nothing frightens the powers of Hell more than speaking and applying the Word of God. Speaking Scripture brings freedom, peace and joy; and provides an opportunity for Jesus to speak to me personally through His Word. I read it every day, and consider it to be the most important thing I do each morning.
The Bible is God’s love
The Bible is God’s love letter to us and His game plan for our life. It is the Best Information Before Leaving Earth.
I was 59 years old
I was 59 years old and had thought for most of my adult life that I was saved. We had a revival in 2008 at my church.
I had been praying to GOD to make satan. “Leave me alone about my salvation.” The last night of Revival the Evangelist’s sermon was directed AT ME. He looked directly at me and said “satan will NEVER bother you about your salvation. Just the opposite, he’ll try to convince you that you “are saved”.
Wow what a PUNCH IN THE HEART
?????????
I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT WITH A… HEAVY ????.
I literally fell across my bed crying out to GOD “AM I SAVED…I HAVE GOT TO KNOW” I fell asleep crying and asking Him over and over. Early the next morning I woke up with the Holy Spirit telling me “NO BELOVED YOU DO NOT BELING TO ME. Again I cried out to GOD HELP ME. I LOVE YOU GOD I ACCEPT YOU AS MY SAVIOR. I AM FREE INDEED.
The end of Revival Sept 10,2008. I accepted CHRIST Sept 11,2008. (Note I retired in 2003 from Unckle Sam’s BATF, so Sept 11 had ESPECIALLY meaning to me already.)
A couple of days later I was reading my bible. In PROVERBS 3:5-6 it reads
“TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOU OWN UNDERSTANDING. FOLLOW HIM IN ALL YOUR WAYS, AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT.” Read more “I was 59 years old”

Like Paul it is to/for me “Not that I have already obtained this [resurrection from the dead] or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own. I do not consider that I have made it my own, but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:12-14, ESV). In light of that, these verses from the International Children’s Bible take hold of… my heart and give me hope now that I am 71 years old: “[God’s] children are people with physical bodies. So Jesus Himself became like them and had the same experiences they have. He did this so that, by dying, He could destroy the one who has the power of death. That one is the devil. Jesus became like men and died so that He could free them. They were like slaves all their lives because of their fear of death” (Heb 2:14-15). Read more “Like Paul it is to/for”

I work as a pastor

I work as a pastor for a house church. The Bible is everything in my life—whatever I have is because of the teachings I received through this book. I went through difficult times but the Bible always helped me in times of adversity. The verse that always encouraged me is from John 14:21—“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.” I always try to obey this commandment.
Right after I got saved,

Right after I got saved, I remember my pastor saying, “Most people with a dirty Bible have a clean heart.” I loved that so much I ran with it. My first Bible, and all Bibles since, have been places to write, highlight, mark significant dates, prayer requests…they have coffee stains, crinkled pages and the signs of something that has been well-loved. I’d like to think my life and my heart are better for it.
Psalm 119:105 is a verse

Psalm 119:105 is a verse that has been speaking to my heart of recent as it reminds me God’s Word provides the light for me to take each step, even when I don’t know where the path is leading.
My Bible is my greatest

My Bible is my greatest treasure! It would be the first thing I grabbed in case of fire. Almost every page is filled with underlining, comments, quickly scribbled pictures, and all sorts of symbols. Every year I read through my Bible, I purposely look for and mark a special word to pay attention to as I journey through the pages. God’s Word could not be more precious to me, because it is the closest thing to sitting down and listening to Him talk to me. I love every page and even used a photo of my favorite study Bible on… the cover of a book of devotions that I recently published. His Word is my life! Read more “My Bible is my greatest”

I have 2 verses: Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. The persecution you all go through is a million times harder than what we have here. I pray for you all constantly, always knowing it could happen here eventually especially if we take God for granted. So… I ask that you would pray for us to be Grateful to God and no other for our freedom to worship Him. I pray for your freedom,Holy Spirit’s counsel, and Bibles. Thank You for your perseverance. The other week I was
The other week I was feeling sucidal and went onto my phone to text my missed good bye. When I unlocked my phone the app I use for daily Bible verses was displayed. Through the tears I was looking at the daily verse which was Romans 14:8 which roughly says is we live we are Christ’s and if we are dead we are still his. This verse instantly calmed me down as I thought of the rest of my life was in Him and even in death we are still his. From then I’m determined to live for him

The Bible understood as the

The Bible understood as the Word of God must transcend the heart, and from there to my whole being. It’s a duty to review my life daily to approach to be a man of the book. In indigenous communities the Bible is poorly read, our challenge is to lead the people to love the Bible, spend time with the Bible and receive divine advice from the Bible.
I came to Christ as
I came to Christ as a college student in the early 1980s. Before, I found the Bible boring and difficult to understand, but suddenly it came alive – God spoke to me through it of His love and grace to me in ways that were real, dynamic, powerful, life-changing and utterly relevant. So first I fell in love with God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Not long after that I fell in love with His word, the Bible, and I’ve been in love with them ever since. I’m now 54 and look back on a life full of… suffering and deprivation – but God has been completely faithful to His promises – and I wouldn’t have known what those were if it hadn’t been for the Bible.
Some years ago I decided to start memorising verses of scripture. I learned one or more a week – my memory is terrible but I managed it. I have now memorised about 300 verses and I recite them each day in my personal quiet time. Often it’s a bit automatic – but sometimes one verse leaps out at me and I realise it’s EXACTLY what I need. The Bible is truer than true – and time spent reading it is never wasted but is always one of the most worthwhile uses of anyone’s time. Read more “I came to Christ as”
This is a new Bible

This is a new Bible I recently got because I gave my Bible away a few months ago on a trip to Kentucky. She was a Muslim from India. During our ride we had a great conversation about Jesus and who he is. At the end she expressed interest in reading the Bible, so I had to provide her with the Word of God. I love my Bible, but there are so many who don’t have access to it or have never read it. I can always get a new one.
JOHN 3:3 “Except a man

My Bible has comforted me
My Bible has comforted me through many storms. Jessus’s voice is there with his teachings and how we should work hard with the talents we have. I love Psalms where David praises the Lord. I love the books of Ruth, and Esther, two strong women who sacrificed a lot for love.

My favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 2:2: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
My Bible has been with

My Bible has been with me everywhere for almost 15 years. When I was 19 I turned from a life of rebellion and hid myself in the promises the Bible had for me: the words of Jesus, to forgive me, to take me in, to love me, and to use my life for a purpose. I have been through many Highs and lows, but the word of God has steadied me, pleaded with me, comforted me, even convicted me. It was from my grandpa who was a WW2 veteran and gave his life to Christ at home after watching a… Billy Graham crusade. It is a constant companion. There is no other book like it in this world: it gives us the creation story, it addresses the wall between us and God, our sin, it addresses all the major life questions that no other book or religion has or can do, it is not understandable by the human mind and yet is the only book that gives true understanding about life and our condition here. It gives hope, in Jesus we find a salvation that is free and yet will cost us all here, it opens us the window of heaven and connects us with the Almighty again. It is God’s word given to us that we might be reconciled to Him. I love my Bible and I hope it will get in the hands of every person today! Read more “My Bible has been with”
I don’t have just one
I don’t have just one but my life verses also happen to be my favorite verses. 3 Not only so, but we[a] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. In my alone time with

In my alone time with ABBA I was reading the Psalms aloud to Him in praise. I read Psalm 40:5 and it has become my favorite verse of scripture that reflects my heart to Him. This picture is from my ESV Bible but I love the particular wording of the Text in the New Living Translation. “O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us.
Your plans for us are too numerous to list.
You have no equal.
If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds,
I would never come to the end of them.
My Bible and my God
My Bible and my God mean everything to me. I’ve studied it and followed it all my life. My life’s verse is Isaiah 41:10. I used to love how my cat, Benji, would come and sit on its open pages as I prepared sermons. I long for the day that Jesus Gods eternal Word will come and take us to our eternal home.
The Word is everything to

The Word is everything to me: life, peace, joy, hope. One of my favorite verses right now is 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. The fact that I can approach Him and come into His beautiful presence changes everything, changes me. He is soooo good.

My Bible is my Sword, it goes with me everywhere. I know what power lies within… The power to SAVE and transform. My Bible is my finest treasure and it’s such a gift to live in a country where I’m free to take it with me and read it whenever I want. If I have a struggle or need any type of help I can find it within this precious book. I can’t believe all the years I went without having it with. I do love the Bible app…but my Book doesn’t need a battery.
The Bible is the Word

The Bible is the Word that has the ability to change [human] reality. When I didn’t know about God, someone gave me a Bible and told me to read John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” When I read it, something in me lived and started to change. The Bible is the only message of real hope, a message that makes us see in Christ that tomorrow will me better.
Hebrews 4:12 tells us God’s

Hebrews 4:12 tells us God’s Word is living. Active. Alive with the very Breath of Life! I love this about God’s Word and I’ve experienced firsthand this reality. Different verses, though they stay the same on the page as they always were, and though I’ve read them hundreds of times before, literally come alive at different moments or periods in my life. His truth will speak in profound ah-ha ways making me think “Wait, was this here before?!” I suppose as people who are constantly changing, it’s hard to imagine how a printed, static book can change. But with God,… all things are possible. This is my favorite part about God’s Word… it’s alive. Read more “Hebrews 4:12 tells us God’s”

Once I was in a time of fasting and it seemed as if it was causing my heart to pound faster. I got a little worried. Soon after, as I read my Bible, these words popped off the page: And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will GUARD YOUR HEARTS and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phl 4:7 ESV). Wow. God sent me the right word at the right time to calm my fears and let me know everything would be okay!

My Bible are the words
My Bible are the words of life. When I grab my Bible it it’s like sitting down and being ushered into the presence of the Creator of the Universe who is also my Father and best friend and sitting at His feet and soaking in His Words of wisdom and life. My favorite verse is Matt 10:39 “Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” This verse reminds me not to self-protect but rather give my life away willingly where Jesus directs me to, being generous like my Heavenly Father… is generous with me. It seems counter-productive to lose your life willingly but really this is the secret to happiness. Jesus flips everything in our worlds upside down. I must give to receive, I must be a servant to lead, a slave to be free, humble to be lifted up, weak to be strong, a fool to be wise and die to truly live. Read more “My Bible are the words”
When I open my Bible
When I open my Bible each morning it’s a vivid action mark of my Mother’s life for she gifted each of her 6 children one of her frayed pages, leather worn, underscored Bible from which she had read in her 70 plus years of walking with Jesus. Her deep love for Jesus and me echoes into my spirit as I read pages of Gods word — His ever- living Seed continues from her to me —
I love reading my Bible

I love reading my Bible because…every time I do, I find that the fog clears a little on whatever is happening in my life. It reminds me how I can be involved with what He is doing in the world. And just like that I’m back in touch with what matters and with the reality of God’s love for me and for all people.

17 Learn to do well(good); seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless(orphan), plead for the widow.
This is what we are suppose to do in loving our neighbor as ourselves.
I also like the Ten Commandments. They were written by the finger of God and tell us simply how he wants us to live. His commandments aren’t grievous and are easier than anything that man comes up with. It makes my heart sing to… do his will, that which is right.
I love where David takes on Goliath.
1 Sam17:26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
1Sam17:36,37 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. 37 David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee
I also like Genesis 1 because it talks about God creating all of creation and his care in creating it and us. Read more “This is one of my”

Since the birth of my grandson, I have been meditating on Isaiah 40:11. God gently leads those who are with young. I have the assurance that God will lead my son and daughter-in-law, and he will provide for their child. What I can do for them is nothing compared to what God has already committed to their care.

There are so many verses that speak to my heart from God’s Word. Psalm 121 is my life verse because I’ve seen so many ways God has been my Keeper and kept me from evil. John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, do I give to you. I have overcome the… world. 1 Peter 4:12-13 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trials you are suffering as though something strange were happening to you. My grandma gave me my

My grandma gave me my Bible when I was only 7. Since then, my favorite Bible verse was one she shared with me: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11) It was my grandma’s way of reminding me that no matter what happens, God is always with us!
I love the Bible. God’s

I love the Bible. God’s word has gotten me through some extremely difficult times in my life! God’s Word speaks in ways that are comforting, sometimes challenging and all the time hopeful. I can’t imagine my life before the Word. God’s word has caused me to know who I am in Him, how much He loves me and who He is in me. I could go on and on..the Bible is so many time to me!
I was born with a
I was born with a birth defect called spina bifida, which resulted in my lower limbs being paralyzed. I was blessed with Christian parents who taught me the great value of God’s Word, but I didn’t have a good grasp on God’s purpose for my disability. Then one day, as I was reading in Psalm 139:13 – 16, I discovered to my complete astonishment that God was not only there when I was born but that I was created on purpose for a purpose. I praise God now that He can even use my challenges in life to glorify Himself!
The Bible allows us to
The Bible allows us to gradually become cleansed of our sin, because of indwelling grace and because it is the only book that gives God’s view of things. Day be day, if we allow the word to speak to us, we allow the bible to help us see ourselves as God sees us , not as our false selves see us. It is a hard book to read because it is the only honest book i know of. Great saints have always been great readers of the Word of God.
Philippians 4:8 clearly reveals to

Philippians 4:8 clearly reveals to us what should be the object of our thoughts. Generally when we listen to sermons, we are told that our thoughts cry out/reach God continually—and here, Apostle Paul tells us what should be the normal composition of our thoughts, which will eventually cry out to God. Each time my thoughts try to divert or engender negativity, my mind draws me back to this Philippians 4 verse 8.

I had grown up in

I had grown up in a Christian school learning that devotions were very important, but my family never did them and so neither did I. I was raised in church but also very worldly. When I finally got saved for real, I began delving into legalism, which soon the faltered. After the loss, by distance, of my dearest friend, the Lord drew me to Himself through His Word and truth in song. Eventually, to avoid repeating mistakes, I took seriously the idea of reading my Bible. I haven’t always been completely consistent, and I certainly have not been perfect; but… the Lord has never left my side, and I love Him and His Word. Often I hug my Bible out of joy and gratitude while I’m reading. God dwells in a Heaven and all believers, but His Word is a tangible gift of His presence. Read more “I had grown up in”
I love that God reveals
I love that God reveals Himself to us in His Word and that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment so that we can see our sin and repent, turning to Jesus for forgiveness of sin. The Old Testament points to Jesus and the New Testament reveals Him. When I was a new believer, I went to a counselor and, thinking I would get over the past hurts by talking about them, told her my story. She listened, then said, “You say you are born again. Does God call you a victim or more than a conqueror?”… I hadn’t read much of God’s Word yet, but knew enough about God to know He didn’t call me a victim, not if I’m in Christ. She told me to walk in the identity God gave me in Christ. Until then, I didn’t know I had any choice. Romans 8 is still among my favorite chapters, as is Job 38-42. Someone once told me about choosing a “birthday verse” which has the same reference as your birth date. Sometimes you can’t find an appropriate one but I did. It is Hebrews 10:23 which says “Hold fast to the faith you profess for He Who promised is faithful”. It has certainly been a blessing and encouragement and challenge to me!
My BIBLE is the “IT”

My BIBLE is the “IT” in my life. If GOD says it, it’s so, & that settles it for me! Now I don’t always like what HE says so to speak, because it cuts going in & coming out but I know I’m the one in the wrong when it hurts & I have to get it right because HE’s never wrong! The BIBLE gives me peace of mind because I know I can trust IT to be right because HIS WORD is infallible & perfect just as IT was given to me! HIS WORD is my comfort, my joy,… my everything, & just one of my many favorite verses states, HIS WORD is full of the most awesome truths you will ever read anywhere….PSALM 119:18, “OPEN THOU MINE EYES, THAT I MAY BEHOLD WONDROUS THINGS OUT OF THY LAW.” Read more “My BIBLE is the “IT””

It is God’s words in my life and I treasure it!
After I received Jesus Christ
After I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, I have clung to Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (NIV). When I was hospitalized, Psalm 103:2-3 helped me through the healing process: “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all yours sins and heals all your diseases” (NIV).

The Bible has always been in my life. Whether seeing it on my grandmothers table growing up, seeing my friends parents carrying their Bibles to church, watching preachers reading theirs in church, or me getting my first Bible in 4th grade. A church group was handing them out on the side walk as we walked home from school. I will never forget that moment. Now I have raised my children according to the Bible. I married a Christian man who also reads the Bible daily. My children know where my instructions come from. That is the Bible. During my growing… pains of life I would still always have my Bible by me. At 51 years old I’m still learning and growing in Gods word. This was a long time
This was a long time ago when I first gave my heart to God and started serving my Lord Jesus Christ. I was living with a man whom I had 3 children by out of wedlock. We were still living together for a few months after I received my Salvation. I was getting convicted about our living situation and told the man that I had to leave or he would, because my life was different now and that I was serving God and living for God that I could no longer live in sin. This man was very abusive towards… me physically, emotionally and mentally. We separated and within a few months he took my son and I ended up with my two girls. I remember walking in the woods and talking and praying to God to reunite my family and restore our family because he is a God of restoration. I kept praying and pleading with God when he spoke to me “Why?” I was like what Lord? He said “Why so you can pray to me and tell me how bad he is treating you or pray to me and ask forgiveness for fornicating, and ask for forgiveness for fornicating again and pray again asking for forgiveness.” I was like okay Lord! I knew the answer was no! Than the Lord spoke to me again and he said “1 Peter 5:7” and I knew that was a scripture from the Bible and I ran home filled with excitement and I opened up my Bible to see what else the Lord was telling me. 1 Peter 5:7 KJV Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. The Bible for me is

The Bible for me is my spiritual food. Because it rebukes me, corrects me and teaches me. The Bible is the basis of my life.
I have a Bible that

I have a Bible that goes back to college (early 90s) that I wish I found myself in more, due to all the notes in the margins (many a testament to hilariously naive expectations of life). But the app has long taken over. I may miss the decades-old learning but I gain the insertion of the Word into many more moments than the old Scofield with the blue cover allows.
The scripture that I live

The scripture that I live by is John 15:7 which states, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (ESV) This is no “rub the genie” kind of magic. This is actual daily, continuous work in reading and applying the Word of God so that I don’t ask amiss. I learned that your prayers are in vain if you don’t have God’s Word inside of you so that you know what to ask Him for. I’ve been blessed immeasurably because in studying His Word, I come… a little closer to His likeness and therefore, His Will becomes mine. Read more “The scripture that I live”

Psalms 139:14 / “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
Strangely enough, I recall having a distinct sense of this truth as a very young child before I had even read the psalm. I had already memorized the 23rd psalm and I marveled, even then, at the understanding that He would never leave me nor forsake me. Even in my years of running from Him he chased me down because I belonged to Him. He is awesome. He is magnificent. He is glorious. He… is SO worthy of our worship, adoration and praise. Once I was young and now, at 72, I am old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor their seed begging for bread. Read more “Psalms 139:14 / “I will”

“The Red Bible”I went out

“The Red Bible”
I went out in nature, and tried to find God;
He seemed to be absent wherever I trod.
I sought God in music, to try and find Him,
The lyrics were flat and the worship felt thin.
I prayed for a vision, I prayed for a dream;
His voice remained silent, He gave me no theme.
In art and in friends and in quiet I sought,
but I had no answer to my searching thought.
I took up my Bible, its cover so worn,
I read through… its pages, and did so each morn.
His voice then I heard, His words were my light,
and on them I meditate ’til I have sight.
And all other searchings, they’d work for the others,
but I read the book with the bent-up red cover.
I trust in my Father; His letters to me
speak more to my soul than a bird or a tree.
I hear His voice clearly, His wisdom I find;
and dreams, visions, artworks, although very fine
cannot show me Him, cannot give me hope,
cannot give me power to fight or to cope.
I find in His Word with the words that I know
The power and sovereignty He wants to show.
I find in His Word all the language and passions
that never I found in the best “Christian fashions.”
And so in the torn-up red Bible I’ll read
and learn to worship but the One who will lead. Read more ““The Red Bible”I went out”

My last Bible was all

My last Bible was all tattered and torn. That was last year. Finally, I broke down and had to get another one and now I have a beautiful Bible from Nelson publishers with fairly large print and the words of Jesus in red. The Bible came with a crease in the first page with the title. It sort of saddened me, but I can live with it and I try to take care of my Bible as well as I can to not let it get as tattered and torn as my last one was, at least not quickly. I… pray that it serves me as long as God wants it to be mine. The Bible, besides the Holy Spirit is my lifeline to God. I have memorized Scripture, but nothing takes the place of God’s Word over a longer period. This is a King James Version (the old one), but I also have a Hungarian Bible and several different translations of the German Bible, because I speak these languages also. #ThisIsMyBible.
It was originally given to my grandmother for her 68th birthday on November 29, 1977. It has been mine since she went home to be with Jesus in August 1995. This November, it will be 42 years old. I had it with me when I was backslidden and far from the Lord. I had it with me when I was close to Him, and walking in the Spirit. I had it with me when I was a homeless alcoholic and drug addict in 2010. I had it with me when the Lord was putting my life back together… again following that awful experience. There were times when the only time I touched it was to wipe a thick coat of dust from it, and shine the leather covers to make it look like it was being read. Now, it stays in the flowered case you see on the left in this picture. The silver duct tape is on there to hold the covers in place- the spine is badly split. My Bible is my only family heirloom, and my most precious possession, but not for that reason. It is my most precious possession because it is the eternal and unchanging Word of the living God. My Bible is always with me, and is never out of my reach and my sight. I truly wish everyone carried their Bible with them, and treated is with the same awe and devotion with which I treat mine. We would all be living in a far different world.

I really love God’s Word
I really love God’s Word to me. Before I read it I ask Holy Spirit to really help me hear God’s words to me. That I wouldn’t just read the bible as words on a page but that I would truly encounter the heart of Father God through it. There’s always more to His heart through His Word and just knowing that He loves and delights in me ignites my heart with a greater desire to know and encounter Him more in His Word. Sometimes with how busy we can be in a day, I don’t always put that time… with Him first. But I feel Him drawing me to Him and when I then come into that special time with Him I’m reminded it’s the best place to be in. I’m so thankful for His great love for me and everyone that loves us continuously and constantly and desires to reveal more and more of Himself to us, taking us deeper into His heart. He is the personal loving Friend and Savior. 🙂 Read more “I really love God’s Word”
My Bible means God’s love
My Bible means God’s love to me. It has the answers to everyone of my questions and contains All truth.
When I read the first 3 chapters of Genesis, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit were revealed as was who I am, what my purpose is and why the world is like it is and yet we have “Hope”.”0
One of my favorite verses is Amos 3:7:
Surely the Lord God does nothing unless
He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.
My bible is my most

My bible is my most treasured possession. It holds highlights, notes and reminders of precious moments with the Lord. It is full of God’s faithfulness to me over the years. He hears me. He answers me through His Word. My favorite example of this are these tear wrinkles pages which include the highlighted verses in Isaiah 26:3-4. My husband was laid off from work at this time. Times were tough. I cried out to the Lord asking for peace and opened my bible and my eyes landed on these verses. Tears flowed, some landing on the pages. Every time I… turn to this passage I think of His goodness to me in that moment. It was exactly what I needed to hear from the Lord. His Word is my peace. My hope. My comfort. My Bible … God’s Word
My Bible … God’s Word is the source of my hope, peace, joy, correction, guidance, faith, strength, instruction, perspective, and God’s voice. Favorite Bible verses are John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also
My time reading His Word

My time reading His Word is so fulfilling that when I miss a day I feel lost and lacking. God has touched me greatly through His Word. And I feel very blessed to live in a country where I can read the Bible in public without fear of persecution.
My Bible for me is

My Bible for me is a source of truth, a source of guidance and a revealer of hope. It has the answers for life’s toughest moments, provides the guidance to carry me through them, and reminds me of the hope we all share in Christ.
It’s always great to start

It’s always great to start my day with a morning devotion. The Scripture that I have been trying to memorize is Jeremiah 29:11. To believe that He has a plan for me to prosper me and give me hope when circumstances are not pleasant. It’s always encouraging to know that He is sovereign.
And let us not grow

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Galatians 6:9
Gods Word reminds me that God will give me strength to to what He needs me to do.
Es mi luz, mi fuerza,
Es mi luz, mi fuerza, mi paz. El lugar donde me encuentro con Jesús. It is my light, my strength, my peace. The place where I meet Jesus.
I have two verses that
I have two verses that I consider my “life verses”. Philippians 3:10,”That I may know Him.and, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.” & Hebrews 6:19-20 “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”
John 14:1 as I was
John 14:1 as I was struggling early on in my conversion experience
If you mouth the words
If you mouth the words that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. Romans 10:9
The Word of God is

The Word of God is so precious to me because Jesus is so precious to me and it shows me who God is and what He’s like. In this revelation of Himself He has provided all I need for life and godliness. The one pictured here is my first bible. It was given to me by an evangelist at my church a year after my conversion. It is still my go to Bible. This is the one I take in prayer, in study and in times of distress and worry. This bible is like a well known friend and I… thank God for giving it and Himself to me. Read more “The Word of God is”
The word of God never
The word of God never be so comforting to me till now as I am leaving my job and facing uncertainties ahead with my wife and two young daughters burdened with housing loan and other financial issues and commitment. The word of the Lord today is so special and encouraging to me Psalms 37: 4-5 “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (KJV)
One of my favorite Scriptures
One of my favorite Scriptures is Psalm 23. My mom had me memorize it as a very young child. I may not have know what it all meant back then, but as an adult it brings so much comfort that God loves me, he’s my leader, he is my protector my shepherd. All I need is him he provides. Its just full of promises that give me hope even in times of trial. I love that it points to our future with him in heaven. It helps me so much to think on this when I see the evil of… this world around me. Read more “One of my favorite Scriptures”
My Bible was given to
My Bible was given to me in 1995. I am now 64. The Word of God has more tape than paper, years of notes, higlights and my whole life is in this book. I have been given 4 new Bibles that I have passed on to those who needed them. If God calls me home, I pray this miracle called the Bible, will be guided by God to one who is in need of it.
These are my three favorite

These are my three favorite Bibles. I read passages from the Bible at all times of the day. I try to keep God’s word before me and it really helps me to stay on the path He has called me to. It’s hard to pick a favorite but I will say Matthew 6 and I John 1 have meant a lot to me and give me guidance and wisdom.
Words cannot describe how important
Words cannot describe how important the bible is to me, ever since I became a born again Christian. As a person who has experienced targeting and attacks from others for many years, these passages from the bible offer comfort, I hope they echo with your audience as well..God bless you all. We were pressed out of measure, above strength, so much so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, we have the sentence of death within ourselves in order that we should not trust ourselves, but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a peril… of death, He on whom we have set our hope, that He will yet deliver us. (2 Corinthians 1: 8-10) A battered reed He will not break off, and a smoldering wick He will not put out, until He leads justice to victory. And in His name the Gentiles will hope. (Matthews 12: 20-21) So..
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31: 6) We turn to You alone, Lord. You are the only power that can bring us out of our great afflictions. Please keep us all firm in our faith. In Jesus’ victorious name we pray and trust, Amen. My Bible has been making
My Bible has been making my life new every day. For so long I had it near my hands and so little time I dedicaded in my life to read It. But ever since I began to study, read daily and truly dedicate time and reflection to the Word of God, I am amazed at the beauty of God in Jesus and the Power of the Holy Spirit to chance our sinful nature. The Bible is the inquestionable Word of God, mighty to save and powerful to change us, every single one of us, everywhere in the World and in… any circunstance.

I have been through many
I have been through many struggles in my life and the only thing that has helped me stand without falling appart is 1. Prayer (mine, from relatives, from close friends) 2. Daily bible reading. One verse that has helped me in my hard times is Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will give you strength, and for sure I will help you. Yes, I will hold you up with My right hand that is right and good”.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”. This verse has lifted me up on bad days and reminded me on good days that Jesus is always beside me, and he has a plan for my life, even when I can’t see it or choose to ignore it. My bible is life for me– I am able to hear God speaking through his word to me and I can be encouraged and strengthened. Thank you, Lord,… for your word! Read more “Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know”
God’s Word is a lamp
God’s Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Every day I meditate on God’s love, promises and commands, because without them, I easily go astray. I’ve memorized many passages that are important to me such as Psalm1, 2, 23, 27, 91, 103, Ephesians 6: 10-18 (God’s armor every day), Philippians 4: 4-9 (Don’t be anxious), Galatians 5: 18 (fruit of the Spirit), Proverbs 1-4 (wisdom and understanding), Joshua 1: 8-9 (Be not afraid), Matthew 11: 28-30 (My yoke is easy and My burden is light), as well as many others. Many I recite daily… just to keep my focus on what is most important. Yes the Word of God and the God of the Word are what I cling to! He is my all in all! Read more “God’s Word is a lamp”
I want to help put
I want to help put a Bible in everyone’s hand. It is the WORD of life. God’s gift to the world. I stand on Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

My Bible is unchanging Truth

My Bible is unchanging Truth that protects me from lies. It keeps my head level and gives peace to my weary soul. I was so anxious about going home from summer camp, so I climbed to the top of my cabin’s bunk bed and I opened up my Bible. God saw my heart and desperation to be near to him, and I came across Psalm 57. The first verse I read was Psalm 57:7: “My heart is confident in you, oh God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises!” We soon had to leave to go… to breakfast, but I couldn’t stop thinking about that verse. My heart, which is deceitful and beyond cure, can be confident in God, which will then usher in the Lord’s praise! I may have been uncertain about going back home from camp, but I could be certain that God is with me and His love and goodness will never fail!
Had I not read my Bible, I would have continued to dwell on my own insufficiency.
God restored my strength and confidence in Him! Read more “My Bible is unchanging Truth”
Romans 11:29: For the gifts
Romans 11:29: For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. This is the verse I am tackling this week in my 8 days of revival beginning tomorrow in Nairobi, Kenya.
Without the Word of God

Without the Word of God that animates us, it would not be possible to face persecution, nor could we face the enemy because even the Lord confronted him through the Word.
I love reading my Bible
I love reading my Bible because it gives me comfort, encouragement, discernment, and seems to feed me exactly in the ways that I need to be fed. In this point of my life, the Word gives me such good direction in helping me discover my next steps, and equipping me with tools to navigate the world and the relationships around me. I also find that it helps me feel a sense of peace, and I feel more connected with God by continually learning more about His character.

For me I believe that the Bible changes everything, it opens hearts and doors throughout the nations and pulls down social/cultural barriers to put everyone on an equal playing field. It’s full of stories of people just like me who are flawed, who are just waiting to see the Lord show up and move. It speaks to me and shows me the character of God, helping guide me in all aspects of my life.

These verses have, time and time again, encouraged my heart and lifted my spirit. God has used them to challenge, strengthen, empower, exhort me and more through many years of following Him. They are the closest I’ve come to having a life verse.

I love reading my Bible

I love reading my Bible because reading the Word of God after a long day out in the world is like drinking the hydrating water your body needs after you’ve spent all week drinking soda. I love my Bible because it’s the only book that stirs something profound within me. When I read my Bible, I sense the Holy Spirit convicting me, I realize that Jesus is comforting me, and I see how God has been in control all along. All my stress and big problems suddenly become minute and achievable; all my minor victories become a sense of purpose… and I feel God’s love for me as He works out my life. As I grew up and got faced with daily challenges and especially the disappointments that I experience, it was as if chance happen to all things and that I am just a random outcome of my parent’s [marriage]. I felt helpless like an orphaned child. One day I decided to check on why in the world am I here. I was surprised the many verses of the bible that gave me the assurance that I am a product of God’s premeditated design. I am not a chanced outcome of my parents [marriage]. I am fearfully and wonderfully made even in… the womb. Now i tremble and have the assurance that I am from somewhere and I am going somewhere in fulfillment of an all knowing God’s purpose. For the word of God
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) While most literature is passive in nature, God’s Word is alive and active. It penetrates my heart, it assesses my attitude, and its words can alter the course of my life. Unlike books that become stale over time, the Bible provides fresh insight, fresh nuggets of truth, and fresh application every time I read it. The Bible is as relevant today as it was… 3,000 years ago. Truths like, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105) or, “The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple” (Psalm 19:7) never become irrelevant. The Psalmist wrote, “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens” (Psalm 119:89). Isaiah wrote, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8). In the New Testament, Peter echoes this truth when he quotes Isaiah in 1 Peter 1:25. Two of the first verses I ever memorized when I became a Christian were Proverbs 3:5-6. One morning I awoke from a bad dream, but the words “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” flooded back to my mind and comforted me. I’m so thankful for my Bible. I pray that every single Christian and those coming to Christ would have their own Bible as well!

I’ve been reading through the Bible yearly since 1989. My husband has joined me in the past few years and we marvel at the fact that verses still leap off the page as though we never saw them before. It is God’s journal and we get to peek into His Heart and thoughts through it. What an ineffable gift! We’ll never fully plumb the depths of it this side of eternity and yet the Holy Spirit tutors us with patience. I love opening a book – any book – but when I open my Bible, it opens up a divine… conversation with the King of the Universe. It is Life. It is Bread. It is Christ. Words that are life-giving, inspired and full of facets I didn’t see before. I have been a Christian
I have been a Christian for 40 years, and over that time have used 3 different Bible versions: RSV, 1971; NASB, 1978; and the NIV 2011. The NIV 2011 is my primary Bible for reading and memorization. It is accurate, readable, and gender accurate. It is the version God used to help me grow most in my knowledge of the Christian faith, and so I have a strong sentimental attachment to it. My favorite verse is Gal. 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. I have always believed that

I have always believed that The Holy Bible is God’s Word and I loved it very much. Earlier this year I purposed in my heart to read and STUDY the Bible as I have never done before and to do that daily. WOW! I am learning so much about God (The Father, Son & Holy Spirit) and myself. My goal is to be so saturated with God’s Word that it just naturally changes my life, comes to my mind when needed and springs from my mouth in my daily life. I thank God for this wonderful gift He has given.… (The picture is of today’s Bible reading–Isaiah 50 in Matthew Henry’s Study Bible.) Read more “I have always believed that”
When I read about God
When I read about God in peoples’ lives, I remember who He is, what His truth is, and how much I can trust Him.
The Jesus of the Bible
The Jesus of the Bible changed my life!
The Scriptures are a precious

The Scriptures are a precious gift from God to my life. His words there show to me the important, special, precious and loved one that I am for my God, and there I find what my soul needs to satisfy. 1 Peter 2. 9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you… have received mercy. My Bible is my most
My Bible is my most precious possession, because it is the living, breathing, powerful word of God. It is the clearest way that He speaks to his people. Two verses that speak powerfully to me: the first is Luke 23:34, which reads “Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.’ And they divided His garments and cast lots.” These were Jesus’ first words on the cross, and He used them to ask the Father to forgive those who tortured and insulted Him. This is the clearest example of God’s mercy in the Bible. The… second is Colossians 3:14, which reads, “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.” This verse reminds me that love is the most important thing a Christian must have; without it, we are nothing, and do not fully reflect the character of God. One of my first Bibles

One of my first Bibles is one of the first editions of the New International Version, which I purchased in 1978. As you can see, it has been well loved over the years – the point of falliing apart. Pages are taped together and it has to be kept in a zipped case because whole sections are coming loose from the binding. And there isn’t one empty space left to take notes on. My very first Bible was a paperback Good News for Modern Man New Testament. As God opened His Word to me, I couldn’t believe it. It was… truly like a veil had been lifted from my eyes. “Why doesn’t anybody know about this?” I kept asking …I was so excited to have found Jesus Christ and His Word and to read about how to live a life that pleases Him. Some have called my Bible, “messy” because of all the highlighting and notes in every corner and blank space, but I have literally “eaten” His Word, in a spiritual sense. The Bible is spiritual food we must eat every day. Now after over 40 years as a Christian, I can say that His Word has been the firm foundation that has gotten me through many trials. That’s why it’s so important to me to help in any way I can to get Bibles into the hands of those who need them and that’s why I support your ministry. I so believe in the work you are doing. The Bible is life itself. It’s the answer to the question, “Why are we here? What is our purpose?” It’s God Himself reaching out to us with His love and His salvation. The Bible is everything. My life verse is found
My life verse is found in Matthew 6: 31 which says “seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these other things will be added to you. I have found this promise to be true. I have found that you can’t out give God. He has a bigger scoop than I do.

I recently got serious with my bible reading this year!
I started reading the Bible for Gods “Blessings” (wrong mindset to have about the Bible) only to realize how much I fell in love with Gods word and the transformation that has overcome my life because of my Bible time! Read and study your bible and Watch your life transform!
Hebrews 7:25 God has delivered

Hebrews 7:25 God has delivered me from the attacks of the Enemy time and time again and forevermore!
I have loved you just
I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love [and do not doubt My love for you].
My favorite Bible verse is

My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. Just entrust everything to the Lord because that’s the right thing to do. I really love this verse because it always speaks and comforts me no matter how many times you hear people quoting or sharing these verses.
… “Con amor eterno te

… “Con amor eterno te he amado; por tanto, te prolongue mi misericordia” (Jeremías 31:3) … “With eternal love I have loved you; therefore, extend my mercy” (Jeremiah 31: 3)
The discovery of the Bible
The discovery of the Bible was akin to finding buried treasure. I was so wonderful that I could not imagine life without it.To think of life without it is just blackness. I love Proverbs 3;5,6 and Phillippians 4:6,7 and Jeremiah 29:11. There is such stunning hope and joy in this book.
It is the most important
It is the most important thing in my life.
The Bible is my defense

The Bible is my defense and my strength.
My Bible is my life.
My Bible is my life. Every time I open it I am challenged, inspired and motivated to live very close to the heart of my God. I am simply amazed at how deeply God loves me and His people and people who do not know Him.. I have many favourite verses, but one stands above them all and that verse is in Deut.32:11 ‘Like an eagle teaching its young to fly, catching them safely on its spreading wings, the Lord kept Israel(me, his Church) from falling’. I cannot live one single day without feeding myself with the nourishment that it… provides. I hear Him speak and experience the warmth of His beautiful presence., and my love for my God abounds more and more each day. The Bible reveals and teaches me to see the world through His eyes and to feel His heart of love for His world. God Bless you all. Read more “My Bible is my life.”
The Word of God contained
The Word of God contained in the Old and New Testaments is precious to me. When the wicked twist His Word, following the doctrines and devices of man I can turn to the Bible to see according to the context the true meaning and understanding of the Scripture. Though, man twisted Scripture in their persevsity, twisting it to support their own notions or traditions I can turn to my Bible to know the truth with certainty. I can cling to the plain testimony of the Word of God when the truth of God is perverted and under attack by false… teachers who do not know our Lord Jesus Christ. His Word is sufficiently clear, though people as servants of the devil assail its teachings with their false glosses and maneuverings. Vain superstition I have heard foolish arguments for against the plain truth of God, but with God’s Word I can look past their superstitions and glosses, holding fast to the word once delivered of the pure and adulterated gospel. His Word is a light for me in the midst of darkness and superstition. I can know whether what someone is teaching is true or false, whether they are not perverting the clear sense of the text to support their own desires or not. His Word, the Holy Bible is surely “a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path“ (Psalm 119:105) for the dispelling of superstitions, the traditions of men, and keeping me from stumbling, giving me light for my path. Trust in the Lord with
Trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not unto my own understanding. Proverbs 3:4
I find myself constantly “trying”

I find myself constantly “trying” to be better, more Christ-like, more righteous. Trying to fix my behaviors and fight my nature. And the thing that always humbles me about the bible is how the more I spend time in the word, the less I find myself needing to fight my nature and the more God simply transforms it through his Spirit. I so often slip into feeling like I have to do everything on my own strength or persevere on my own, and God simply sends me his word to remind me that I’m never alone.
My favorite verse is: Isaiah
My favorite verse is:
Isaiah 26:3 (ESV) You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
There has always been a
There has always been a Bible in my home as a child and now as an adult of 66 years young. It was something that I took for granted and in my earlier years did not read except in church on Sundays and Wednesday nights. But God is so merciful and a few years ago, God showed me that even though I was a believer, I was living as if I were in total control of my life. Ever since then, I have such a desire for God’s Word. The Bible is living and breathing and it is a two-edged… sword that will cut but oh so wonderful and powerful. I am so blessed to live in this country of America where I can read my Bible in safety and worship in my church. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ that live in countries where they are persecuted for having a Bible. Read more “There has always been a”

My parents gave me my first Bible when I was born, and it has stayed with me as a reminder of their love ever since.
I LOVE my Bible!
I LOVE my Bible! Especially my David Jeremiah study Bible. It has helped me tremendously in understanding God’s Word! But, not only that it’s helped me to apply it in my life as well. However, God’s word sustained me in during a dark time of my life and the book that was instrumental in that valley was Psalms. The dark time was almost 2 years ago on September 7, 2017 my oldest son Daniel stepped into eternity on that day. My world changed for ever on that day. I can truly say that my Heavenly Father and His Holy Word… have been faithful in healing my broken heart and it’s still a work in process. To God be the glory!! Read more “I LOVE my Bible!”
I treasure my Tree of
I treasure my Tree of Life Version. I believe it was 35 people that worked to translate the original Hebrew text to try include the subtle inferences along with the literal meaning of the word.
Man I love my Bible,
Man I love my Bible, I have notes and dates and highlights and promises. I open it and I expect to be WOW-ed by God’s word and the stories and the way each word is perfectly placed. My thoughts and learned information from messages are jotted down. My hope is that one day my children will cherish their earthly Daddy’s words and thoughts the their heavenly Daddy gave to me. The Bible is simply perfect, awesome and it’s a resource with all of the answers to all of the questions.
“ Have I not commanded
“ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
I have been asked to

I have been asked to share my favorite verses. That will be asy, because I have two references:
1) “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, anf whose hope os the LORD. For he shall b nor e like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes. But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
~Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV :-
2) “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,… nor angels nor prinicipalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
~Romans 8:38-39 NKJV 🙂
The picture is of my Bible. It was my grandmother’s Bible, and has been mine since she went home to be with Jesus in 1995. In Novermber 2019, it will be 42 years old.
God richly bless you all. I pray for my perscuted brethren every day. Read more “I have been asked to”
I remember the time when
I remember the time when I used to have very strong panic attacks and that was the devil’s way of making sure of keeping me feeling weak and defeated in the faith at that time. But Isa. 65:17 …”.and the former things shall not be remembered nor come to mind”, gave me renewed strength and hope to overcome my panic attacks and have peaceful sleep. There is nothing else out there that can give this kind of lasting peace.
My Bible has brought The
My Bible has brought The Holy Spirit alive to me . Every morning as God my father and Jesus my savior meet me . The Holy Spirit reveals as I read God’s word. His heart and need for me that day . What a blessing for his words to us.
one of my favorite verses
one of my favorite verses lately has been Ephesians 2:4-6″ But God who is Rich in mercy wherein He greatly loved even while we were dead in our trepasses and Sins, made us Alive together with Christ, and raised us sit together in heavenly places together In Christ Jesus.
When I was 19 ,
When I was 19 , a young mother of two children, Jesus saved me.
I am now 67….
And the most precious thing to me is the Word Of God.
More than any friend.
Some don’t realize that the first chapter of the Gospel Of John is a literal description of Jesus. He IS the Word , when you hold the Word you are holding him.
I read my Bible on

I read my Bible on my phone because of being a former Muslim. When I am discouraged, I turn to my Bible for help and strength.
Psalms chapter 23
Psalms chapter 23
Mine is rather old; not
Mine is rather old; not worn out, just older in age. I carry it and use it; study from it; prepare lessons from it as I teach each Wed, night. It remains a perfect symbol of my love for my Lord and Savior, who died on that cross to forgive me of my sins. Does it make me perfect…NO, but it does give to me the precious words of my Savior to head me in the right direction when I do foolishly wonder off course.
My Bible is my link
My Bible is my link with heaven. It nourishes my soul and strengthens my hope. Every time I read my Bible I grow up in Christ and become stronger in faith. One of my favorite verses is found in 2 Timothy 3:16~17: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Another favorite is found in Hebrews 11:6: Without faith, it is impossible to please Him (God): for he that cometh to God must… believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. My Bible helps me see
My Bible helps me see GOD’s perspective and not this present culture’s view of the world.
I now realize that everything is backwards here. where Satan is Prince.
The WORLD VIEW honours wealthy people and famous people, but GOD values
the humble and the meek. THE WORLD values the powerful but GOD values the powerless, the infirm, the needy the poor,
His WRITTEN WORD teaches me to value what HE values His Written word teaches me, that I should be like JEsus, and not the world.
AND with HIS Written Word, I can now have… greater Faith in GOD, because I see HIs hand of Provision., daily in the “little” things that I now know are actually the GREATER things. GOD’s WRITTEN WORD, the BIBLE, is My most Valuable possession. Read more “My Bible helps me see”
