Encourage Charity as she shines for Jesus in Nigeria

In Guyaku, a remote village in northern Nigeria, being a Christian comes with significant risk. More Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than in any other country in the world. In addition, violent attacks by Boko Haram and other Islamic extremist groups are common in the country’s north, and middle belt—and are becoming more common farther south.

In these attacks, Christians are often murdered or have their property and means of livelihood destroyed. Charity and her children know this firsthand. They’re survivors of a deadly Boko Haram attack on their village.

Charity’s story represents thousands of persecuted Christians across Nigeria who are left to pick up the pieces after violent religious attacks by extremists like Boko Haram.

For brave believers like Charity, staying in her village means keeping a light for Christ shining bright in the region—even when the darkness surrounds it. You can read and watch more of her story here.

We have the chance and the privilege to send Charity and her family notes and drawings of encouragement. Join us as we remind this precious sister and her children that they belong to one Church, and one Family!
