Central Asian Missionaries Arrested

July 28, 2017 by Open Doors in Prayer updates

A group of missionaries working in a Central Asian country traveled to another district of the country for outreach. It was there that they were arrested. Little is known at this point. Before his cell phone was confiscated, the head of the group was able to sand a hasty text message to say they were fined $60 each. Please join us in praying for their safety, for opportunity to return home, for their families and for news about them.

Our Father, who knows all things, who hears the cries of Your people, hear today our prayer on behalf of these servants of Yours in Central Asia. We do not know their present circumstances, but You do. Hedge them about in Your protection. Grant them wisdom and words to speak as they are questioned and interrogated. Provide for them if they are given fines. Be in their midst if they are in prison. For those who have heard the Good News, the Gospel of Christ, through their work, we pray that You will take the seed of the Word planted and cause it to grow into faith unto salvation. May Your Holy Spirit fan the flames of faith across their nation, that many will rise to glorify You. In the name of Jesus at whose name every knee shall bow and tongue confess that He is Lord. Amen.
