Christian Families Banned From Hometown in Mexico

March 6, 2015 by Janelle P

Last month a group of four Christian families was banned by traditional Roman Catholics from their town of Tlapa in the Mexican state of Guerrero.

According to the deputy of the community, the families refused to participate in the Roman Catholic events of the town.

“They should be banned from the community because they don’t participate nor pay the religious fees,” was the response of deputy Diego Méndez to the case.

The group of 20 Christians, including 14 children, were forcibly removed from their homes and locked up for two hours at the deputy’s office. Then they were were forced to leave Tlapa.

They were also told that if they would return, they would be burned alive. Please pray for the families who had to leave everything. Pray for temporary safe lodging. Pray that they find strength in the arms of the Lord.
