Give the Gift of Hope This Christmas

December 1, 2010 by Open Doors

SANTA ANA, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2010) – Gabi, a 14-year-old Christian girl from the Middle East, was kidnapped and raped by five Muslim men after her father refused to allow one of the men to marry her. When she was found, Gabi was traumatized, unable to speak to anyone.

“This incident has ruined the life of an innocent child,” said Gabi’s pastor.

For suffering and traumatized Christian women like Gabi, Open Doors provides an abuse recovery program. The program focuses on helping those who have experienced a traumatic event work through the many emotional struggles that go along with it. This is just one of the many programs that Open Doors USA is providing for persecuted Christians that is available in the new “Gifts of Hope” catalog.

The gifts range in price from $4 for a children’s Bible to $20,000 for a health clinic in a Muslim community. There are many different forms of Bibles that can be delivered as well, such as study Bibles, youth Bibles and MP3 Bibles. The support can be given for Christmas gifts or any time of the year. There are more than 20 different gift options.

The catalog also offers training programs for persecuted believers. Some of the programs are specifically designed for pastors. These programs will help believers deal with the persecution they face and also offer strong biblical training.

“Christians who are persecuted will be overjoyed by these gifts of hope.” says Dr. Carl Moeller, President/CEO of Open Doors USA. “This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage and support them, especially at Christmas time when we celebrate the gift of the baby Jesus.”

The gift catalog can be viewed at The catalog will remain current through 2011. Gifts can be made online or by calling 888-524-2535. Donations can also include multiple gifts per order.
