Mother and Daughter from Kyrgyzstan Targeted as Believers

August 8, 2016 by Open Doors in Asia

Within the community of the village of Balykchi*, there is one family that are Christian believers. The family is comprised of two faithful women – Sister Ainagul (40)* and her daughter Raushana (14)*. In a neighboring town, a program named “Samaritan Purse” blesses children with gifts. Sister Ainagul’s house is used as storage for the program. About a month ago, Sister Ainagul and her daughter started sharing the gospel at the events, after gaging the audience to see if they would be receptive to a sermon. After favorable responses, they began sharing the Gospel with neighbors as well. Late one night, those same neighbors angrily came to the gate of Sister Ainagul’s home. They threatened Sister Ainagul and her daughter, saying the will force her and her daughter to leave Christianity. If they didn’t renounce God, they would be forced out of the village. . The threats became unbearable, so the pastor and believers from a neighboring town decided to take sisters out from the village.
