Abbas (real name protected for security reasons) is a Muslim Background Believer (MBB) of Somali descent who lives in the Horn of Africa. Since coming to faith in Christ, his life has been filled with difficulties and heartaches.

He has faced many threats from family members and society who want to punish him for abandoning Islam. Due to isolation, he also suffered great financial difficulties. He also contracted a debilitating skin disease.

But none of these challenges turned Abbas away from Jesus. Despite persisting danger, he continues to meet with other believers for prayer and encouragement in the faith. He trusts that God in His providence will solve his challenges in His own time.

And in God’s providence, Open Doors representatives met Abbas and were able to help provide better medical care and find a sustainable income-generating business for him.

Please join us in praying for God’s continued care for Abbas’ physical and spiritual needs.

· Thank the Lord for Abbas’ faith and pray that God will complete the good work He has started in him.

· Pray that Abbas’ spiritual growth will continue and that he will become one of the pillars of the Church in this part of the Horn of Africa.

· The Lord’s blessing upon continued efforts to facilitate better healthcare for Abbas.
