Earlier we reported regarding the case against brother Yklas from Kazakhstan, who was found guilty by the state court and convicted of a crime under part 1 of article 174 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan (intentional acts aimed at inciting national hatred, humiliation of national honor and dignity of citizens, an act committed with the use of the media, by disseminating information, promoting ethnic strife) and sentenced to seven years of restriction of freedom, but the measure condemned in the form of detention was changed to house arrest.

We recently received information from the trusted sources in country that brother Yklas was sentenced for 2 years in prison by the state court. The court changed the sentence in favor of the prosecution after State Prosecutor Asylzhan Gabdykaparov appealed to the court in order to have Protestant Christian Yklas Kabduakasov’s be punished by the actual prison sentence.

Please pray for brother Yklas, so God protect him and his family from the harassments of the state prosecutor and other state authorities.

Join others in praying.
