Today, more information pours in.

At least seven people were killed and twenty six injured in the series of bombings and gunfire in Indonesia’s capital city, Jakarta on Thursday, January 14. Five perpetrators were killed in the attack. Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command Chief, Inspector General Tito Karnavian confirmed the terrorist were linked with the ISIS group and continued their unfinished New Year attack. The police are now chasing the network members.

In their statement, the National Police Department clarified that no others bombs were scattered around Jakarta. However, police have set all regions in Indonesia on alert, and more security forces are sent to guard substantial places, including airports and government buildings. President Joko Widodo, in his statement, condemned the attack and urged all citizens to stay calm but not be afraid of such terror acts.
